Exploring literacy and building confidence in reading

A gentle, engaging introduction to literacy learning. This program is designed to help students explore reading in a supportive, confidence-building environment through small-group instruction, hands-on activities, and meaningful connection with peers.

Students are encouraged to discover their strengths, practice new skills, and build confidence at their own pace—while enjoying a balanced mix of structured learning, collaboration, and creative downtime.

Activities are designed to be interactive and encouraging. Students explore reading through discussion, hands-on activities, and guided practice — without pressure or stress.


🧠 Gentle Skill Assessment & Grouping

During the first week, instructors observe and assess students’ literacy strengths and needs. This helps us place students in small groups where they can receive the most effective support.


💬 Relationship & Confidence Building

The first week emphasizes connection. Students build relationships with peers and instructors while gaining confidence as readers and learners.
